그랜드 래피즈에서 차를 몰고 다니며 주로 듣는 방송은 91.3Mhz WCSG라고 근처의 코너스톤 대학교에서 운영하는 라디오 방송이다. 코너스톤(cornerstone)도 '모퉁이돌,' '머릿돌'이라는 이름 뜻에서 알 수 있듯이 기독교 대학이고, 하루 종일 찬양, 설교, 상담을 방송한다. 그래서 한국에서도 컴퓨터로 밤샘 작업을 할 일이 있을 때는 종종 wcsg.org를 접속해서 방송을 듣고는 했다.
지난 주간 이 방송을 듣다가 멋진 찬양을 들었다. 인터넷으로 찾아보니 Mandisa라는 가스펠 가수의 'My deliverer'(내 구주)라는 찬양이었다. 이 맨디사라는 가수는 우리나라의 슈퍼스타K의 원조격이랄 수 있는 '아메리칸 아이돌'에서 최종 몇 인에 들어간 적이 있는 사람이라고 한다. 이후 가수의 길에 들어서서 몇 장의 앨범을 내었댄다. 내가 들었던 찬양은 두 번째 앨범인 'freedom'에 처음 나오는 곡이었다. CD를 사버릴까 진지하게 고민 중이다. 아래는 가사. 번역은 시험 후에. ^^
